Abstract

This award provides funding for a Third Workshop on the Ground-based Optical/Infrared System of US Telescopes, held in Scottsdale, Arizona 16-17 November 2006. The workshop follows similar workshops on the O/IR System conducted in 2000 and 2003. Approximately 75 researchers from US astronomy will gather to produce a strategic plan for instrumentation on the major telescopes, federal and non-federal.
