This one-year project uses the large body of existing scholarship on the Minto-Nenana Athabascan to develop an English-Minto pocket dictionary, test its structure, publish it and teach its use through community workshops in the village of Minto, Alaska. Materials and workshops will directly involve the Minto community members in the development of the dictionary and in the creation of an archival record of pronunciation. The dictionary, its development and its use will stimulate the community's access to their language and hopefully stimulate interest in its continued use.
