This proposal requests travel funds for junior U.S. scientists to attend the IUPAC Symposium on Photochemistry to be held in Sitges, Spain. The funds will awarded by a committee composed of Professor Zimmt and other senior scientists, and will be used to support the travel of assistant professors, postdoctorals and graduate students who will present their work at the symposium. The Organic and Macromolecular Chemistry Program recognizes the value, particularly for younger scientists, in attending international conferences. Hence, the Program supports the efforts of Professor Zimmt of the Chemistry Department at Brown University to underwrite the travel expenses of young, U.S. scientists attending the IUPAC Symposium on Photochemistry.
