The project involves training undergraduates and graduate students; in particular, graduate students will be exposed to a highly sophisticated data gathering, merging, and analysis process. And the investigators plan to use classroom teaching, web broadcasts/seminars, and scholarly journals for dissemination.
The researchers will find out how disasters impact family businesses, but, more importantly, how family businesses recover from disasters. This will be of considerable use to those seeking to promote disaster- and business continuity planning for small and family businesses.
