This project is designed to introduce undergraduate students to the problems of practical engineering and the interface of engineering with social and economic considerations. The project is a unique feature of the eductional curriculum at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI). The project will investigate the social, economic, and engineering management considerations concerning the possible sale of the Federal Airports at National and Dulles to a private organization. The study will provide a basis for research activities involving public works.
