This award is to support the Society of Manufacturing Engineers' (SME) Manufacturing Engineering Education Foundation in holding a workshop of its grantees that would showcase the efforts of its successful research-oriented grant seekers in building manufacturing engineering and technology programs. The audience for this workshop would be drawn from previous SME Foundation grantee applicants whose institutions have shown a desire to develop accredited manufacturing engineering or manufacturing technology programs or options, training managers from industrial companies, and company chief executive officers.
