In recent years, thin-walled structures have been widely used in various applications. A large number of research projects have been conducted in many countries. In order to provide a forum for twelve American experts to interact with other researchers from various countries and to identify future research needs, an International Workshop on Future Research Needs for Thin-Walled Structures is to be held in Singapore, immediately following the Second International Conference on Thin-Walled Structures. All discussions will be concentrated on the conference theme relative to thin-walled structures. The highlights of discussions will be summarized in a report to be submitted to National Science Foundation.
