The University of Texas, El Paso has been funded to support two planning workshops focused on developing strategies for an Alliance of Hispanic-Serving Institutions. Ten institutions currently participate in this alliance that aims to coordinate and strengthen sustained efforts to bring more Hispanic students into computing education and research. The Alliance broadly aims to address development issues for education, faculty, and research. These workshops will enable them to discuss Alliance responses to upcoming initiatives, including the new CISE initiative to Broaden Participation in Computing (BPC).
