The purpose of this workshop (to be held in July 2006) is to gather community input to develop the research agenda and opportunities for coordination in developing the future internet architecture. This workshop brings together researchers, Federal agency network program managers, and network visionaries to coordinate the research, development, and testing of new network architectures to address these diverse needs. The workshop will build on the developing programs of the DOD, DOE, the NSF (GENI), and the other agencies. It is intended to provide guidance for the research and coordination needed among the Federal agencies to develop the new networking architectures.
