This award provides partial support for a workshop entitled "Opportunities in Biological Physics" to be held prior to the American Physical Society meeting in Baltimore, MD, on March 12, 2006. The workshop is primarily aimed at graduate students and postdoctoral researchers in physics who are considering applying the methods of physics to biological questions. However, all those interested in this interdisciplinary area are welcome. The grant is supported jointly by the Divisions of Materials Research and Physics.
