The proposal is to provide support to various participants in the 23rd Southeastern Analysis Meeting (SEAM) that will be held at the University of Richmond in Richmond, Virginia, on March 9-11, 2007.

The purpose of the long-running SEAM series, which started in 1985, is to disseminate and exchange the latest ideas and developments in operator theory and functional analysis. Emphasis is placed on the involvement of junior faculty and graduate students in the meeting, so much of the funding request is dedicated to such participants. The 2007 program will feature three plenary speakers (Michael Jury, University of Florida; Alexei Polteratski, Texas A&M University; Eero Saksman, University of Jyvaskyla, Finland) and a full slate of contributed talks.
