A science enrichment program for women, minority, and disabled eleventh graders will be conducted at Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland during the summer of 1989. The program is residential and will extend from July 2 - August 12. The program will provide: (1) opportunities to use the University's libraries and laboratories, (2) activities that promote development of skills required for solving scientific problems, (3) anding of the nature, restrictions, and limitations of science, (4) activities that increase awareness of science career options and the process of career planning, and (5) opportunities for interaction with established scientists. Methods to accomplish program objectives include course work, laboratory research, seminars, workshops, and field trips to community science facilities.
