Central Missouri State University's S-STEM project is awarding scholarships to students pursuing Computer Science and Mathematics degrees who demonstrate both academic potential and financial need. The program is participating in a larger effort by the Institution to target transfer students and recruit from underrepresented groups. Scholars are being supported by an extensive faculty and peer mentoring program which is providing individualized advisement and career and professional development. The program is making an impact in the computer science and mathematics education opportunities available within the state.
