This project provides scholarships for 36 STEM bachelor degree students, with recruitment focused specifically on underrepresented groups. The targeted disciplines are Biology, CIS, and Engineering Technology. The goals of the program are to 1) develop and emphasize new science, technology, and professional programs, 2) establish campus to community outreach, 3) increase the level of need and merit based financial aid, 4) develop First Year Programming to integrate academic enrichment and co-curricular activities, 5) increase community engagement activities, 6) create a collegial and supportive community, and 7) build partnerships with other academic institutions, community organizations, and businesses.
