In this NSDL Targeted Research project the PI and colleagues are investigating the factors that influence middle school teachers' adoption and subsequent personalization of digital resources in their classrooms. In particular the investigators are examining changes in teacher behavior and the strategies for empowering teachers to try, adopt, and adapt NSDL digital resources in their classrooms. The research outcomes are exercising broader impact by informing: 1) NSDL Pathways projects as they seek ways to increase the depth and breadth of their resources and increase the number of teachers who utilize their resources; 2) Educators who are developing the capacity of current K-12 teachers to use digital content in a meaningful way; and 3) Faculty in pre-service programs who are preparing the next generation of teachers to effectively leverage the use of digital content in the classroom to improve student learning.
