Seattle University in conjunction with Seattle Central Community College and the Washington Center for Improving Undergraduate Education is conducting a project on precalculus revitalization. A 1992 summer workshop will train twenty core faculty in new topics and approaches for teaching precalculus mathematics. The participant pairs from 10 institutions must agree to teach at least one course the following year using materials and ideas generated in the workshop and submit statistics on student performance which be used to generate a statistical report. A 1993 workshop will be devoted to
