The Symposium on Systems, Control and Networks (SSCN) will be held on June 5-7, 2005 at the University of California, Berkeley and the Claremont Resort Hotel, also in Berkeley. The conference, chaired by Professor Eyad Abed (University of Maryland, College Park) will bring leading researchers and practitioners from academics, industry, and government agencies to interact on the latest advances in systems, control, and networks, and sensor networks. SSCN will bring together leading researchers in the field to assess the current state of research and areas for future research and application. Participation is open and the Symposium has been announced in important conference and in relevant electronic media. SSCN draws upon many disciplines, including system theory, control theory, computer and communication networks, signal processing, information and coding theory, networking and protocols, economic and gaming analysis, distributed algorithms, and wireless communications. A total of approximately 250 attendees are expected to participate in this conference. A budget of $10,000 is requested to support this conference. The funds will be used to partially pay for travel expenses for some of the attendees who do not have other resources to support their participation in this very unique meeting.
