This award provides support to New Mexico Highlands University to further develop and design a Comprehensive Regional Center for Minorities that will stimulate regional change in the quality of the precollege experiences and preparation of minority students in science, mathematics and engineering. The New Mexico Alliance for Science Education (NMASE) is made up of five institutions of higher education and Los Alamos National Laboratory.
