In 1993 the R/V POINT SUR will provide shiptime to scientist and students from the Naval Postgraduate School. the University of Santa Cruz, the University of California at Santa Cruz, the University of Southern California, the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute and the Moss Landing Marine Laboratories, all are members of the Central California Oceanographic Cooperative (CENCAL). One investigator from Scripps Institute of Oceanography will also use the vessel. The research vessel POINT SUR is scheduled in 1993 for 197 sea days of which 101 are in support of NSF programs. The vessel is operated as an effective research platform for a variety of NSF- sponsored research projects.
