9707086 GREENE In 1997 the R/V POINT SUR will provide shiptime to scientist and students from the Naval Postgraduate School, University of California at Santa Cruz, University of Southern California, US Geological Survey, Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute and Moss Landing Marine Laboratories, all are members of the Central California Oceanographic Cooperative (CENCAL). In addition, researchers from Monterey Bay Aquarium, Lamonat-Doherty Earth Observatory, State University of New York, University of Washington Naval Oceanographic Office and the National Marine Fisheries will use the POINT SUR. The POINT SUR is scheduled for 197 operational days in 1997 of which 82 are in support of NSF programs. The vessel will work mainly off the coast of California with one cruise off the coast of Mexico. ***
