The "Virtual Zooarchaeology of the Arctic Project (VZAP)" has been funded as a pilot project to create high definition digital images of a sample of vertebrates found in the Arctic and make them available virtually via the web to a wide audience of users both professional academics and K-12 educators. In addition, the project funds a stakehoder workshop, including a broad cross section of the professional zooarchaeology community and educators to assist in in the development and evaluation of the VZAP technology and to facilitate its potential use.
