Between 16 July 1993 and 30 June 1994, the contractor will provide the following services for the quarterly and review issues of the Antarctic Journal of United States: {SYMBOL 183 f "Symbol" s 10 h} editorial services: copy editing; rewriting; photo research and substantive editing when directed; the preparation of quarterly climate summaries; and the acquisition of four quarterly awards list from the NSF mainframe {SYMBOL 183 f "Symbol" s 10 h} production services: proofreading and wordprocessing for five issues of the journal; copy mark-up and preparation of art for reproduction for the review issue; and desktop publishing work (includes typesetting and layout); and graphic design work (as necessary) for the quarterly issues of the journal {SYMBOL 183 f "Symbol" s 10 h} administrative services: communication with NSF and authors via letter, electronic mail, or telephone; maintenance of a database to track manuscripts, art work, photographs, and author correspondence; preparation of solicitation letters for the review issue. These services were solicited via competitive procurement through Commerce Business Daily. The contract is a cost-plus-fee contract for 1 year with four 1-year options to extend until June 1998.
