Abstract

This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The objectives of this study are as follows: 1) To determine if leptin can be safely administered to a group of patients with generalized lipodystrophy. 2) To determine if leptin treatment will be effective in lowering plasma glucose and lipid abnormalities in patients with generalized lipodystrophy.
