This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing theresources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject andinvestigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed isfor the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. This research involves collecting and archiving clinical and research data gathered from: (1) subjects with Alzheimer's disease or a related dementia, (2) subjects with memory problems who are not demented, (3) normal volunteers, and (4) caregivers/informants of subjects.Clinical and research data gathered from subjects and their caregivers/informants is being archived in order to characterize and better understand the disease processes involved in memory loss, Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. Clinical and research data will be entered into the UCLA ADC Research Database and coded in such a way as to shield personal identities. Defined data sets that have been de-identified will be released to the coordinating site for the state's Alzheimer's Disease Research Center of California (ARCC), to the NIA's National Alzheimer's Coordinating Center (NACC), and to individual investigators with IRB approved protocols who are authorized to receive data by the ADC Director.
