The purpose of the National Preservation Program for the Biomedical Literature is to ensure the preservation of important biomedical materials that are not held by the National Library of Medicine. Under this contract UCLA's Louise Darling Biomedical Library will microfilm and provide phase boxes for valuable Persian and Arabic medical manuscripts.
