Abstract

This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing theresources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject andinvestigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source,and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed isfor the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator.The objective of this experiment is determine if mixing NP-1018 and NP-C295 with commercial influenza vaccine improves the immune responses of baboons to influenza vaccine, consisting of hemaglutinnin antigen (HA). This study in baboons will test two new formulations (NP-1018 and NP-C295) consisting of immunostimulatory DNA sequences (ISS) conjugated to recombinant nuclear protein (NP) of influenza virus. This study will consist of 6 groups of 5 animals per group.
