The Coordination Core (CC) will coordinate the Vanderbilt University BIOmolecular Multimodal Imaging Center (VU-BIOMIC). Given the multidisciplinary nature of this proposal, which spans human tissue collection, coordinating multiple analytical methods, computational modeling and integration, and data transfer and communication with the other Tissue Mapping Centers (TMCs), the HIVE, and the HuBMAP, the CC will be a key center of administration, management, and communication.
The specific aims of the CC directly reflect its role to prioritize communication, data and sample sharing, and interaction among these groups and to provide a foundation of success for the VU-BIOMIC research activities.
? Coordination Core This application proposes the founding of the BIOmolecular Multimodal Imaging Center (BIOMIC) at Vanderbilt University, a Tissue Mapping Center associated with the Human BioMolecular Atlas Program (HuBMAP). The mission of BIOMIC is to build a platform of integrated technologies for imaging and molecular analysis that enables the construction of comprehensive 3-dimensional molecular atlases of human tissues. The goal of the Coordination Core is to facilitate VU-BIOMIC scientific achievement, reliable participation in the HuBMAP Consortium, efficient data transfer and communication with other Tissue Mapping Centers and the HuBMAP HIVE, and impact on the broader research community.
