This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. The Imaging Core will be housed at Wayne StateUniversity and will be supervised by Dr. Bonnie Sloane, and operated by Dr. Kamiar Moin. The Imaging Core houses two new state-of-the-art imaging systems: a Zeiss LSM 510 META NLO Confocal Microscope with multi-photon capability and a Zeiss Apotome live cell imaging workstation. With these systems we can perform 3D and 4D analyses under multiple probe conditions, i.e., we can image up to 8 colors simultaneously or sequentially. Many of the experiments that are planned as part of this center will require these extended capabilities
