During the last few years our laboratory has been interested in the structural characterization of clathrin and clathrin coated vesicles as they are related to receptor-mediated endocytosis. As the final work of this section we have made a study correlating the formation of the various sized clathrin basket structures with respect to the ratio of bound associated proteins to clathrin and to the polylimerizing conditions.
