Geological Sample Storage facilities provide important andessentail services to the goelogical research community. The corerepository facility at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution isbeing funded to archive cores and other geological rock samplesfrom the seafloor and provide the important services of sampledistribution and related data dissemination to the marinegeological, sedimentological and paleoceanographic communities.
