Public Health Relevance

Social security refonns have important implications for the health of older workers and retirees, whether by their impacts on pension wealth or delayed retirement. A large literature has demonstrated a strong inverse relationship between economic status and health. In addition, delaying retirement may have direct effects on the physical and mental health of older workers
