Public Health Relevance

Research in inflammation and immunity is a strategically critical area in biomedicine with rich opportunities for entrepreneurism and product commercialization. Understanding inflammatory and immune processes is critical for developing effective treatment strategies to prevent and cure a number of diseases and conditions that have a major impact on public health, both nationally and internationally. This program will provide cutting-edge research and entrepreneurial training to a new generation of biomedical researchers.
