Montana College of Mineral Science and Technology seeks to provide a Young Scholars Program in earth science for 24 students selected from rural schools in the states of Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, North Dakota, Utah, and Washington. The program is a four week summer residential program for students entering the ninth, tenth, and eleventh grades. During a four week period with follow-up activities during the academic year, each student will be provided an individual research experience with a practicing scientists in addition to a mixture of field and laboratory activities in hydrogeology and environmental engineering.
