Abstract

This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing theresources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject andinvestigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source,and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed isfor the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator.This is a pharmacokinetic pilot study to investigate drug interactions of three protease inhibitors used in HIV infections. It will evaluate the impact of the addition of fos-APV on the pharmacokinetic parameters, the peak aconcentrations, the elimination half-life, and the area under the concentration-time curve of Indinavir, Ritonavir/Amprenavir at steady state in HIV infected patients.
