This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. ACTG A5029 - The purpose of this study is to learn whether taking anti-HIV drugs will affect the HPV virus in volunteers who have just started highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART) for the first time. For subjects who currently have HPV, the study will look at what effect these anti-HIV drugs have on the amount of HPV in their tissue. For subjects who do not currently have HPV, the study will see whether they get the virus while on anti-HIV drugs.
