Abstract

This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The proposed pilot study will examine the association between polymorphisms of the APOE and 5HTT genes to treatment outcomes of depression and cerebral white matter integrity (quantified by diffusion-tensor MRI) in patients and a non-psychiatric comparison sample in two IRB-approved treatment studies of older patients with major depression.
