The current study will look at how much more food (energy) your body needs when you stay awake all night. To do so, we will ask you to live in a special room for several days. This room allows us to measure how much oxygen your body uses and how much carbon dioxide your body produces. The findings from this study may improve our understanding of one of the reasons why we sleep and may improve our understanding of the influence of sleep loss on health.
