This study examines endocrine, metabolic, cardiovascular, cognitive function, subjective mood and sleepiness in persons who regularly get less than 7 hours sleep/night compared to persons regularly getting 8 or more hours of sleep/night. The purpose of this study is to investigate whether alterations in the above named variables occur in persons who will voluntarily curtail their sleep to less than 7 compared to thpose who sleep 8 or more hors per night.
