The treatment is still evolving and well-defined guidelines for the evaluation and treatment of these children is still lacking. Meanwhile, the consequences of micrognathia can be severe, including failure to thrive, prolonged hospitalizations, pulmonary hypertension/right heart failure, obstructive sleep apnea, and gastroesophageal reflux. Data collection will include assessment of respiratory difficulty (eg oxygen saturation, CO2 retention, vital signs) and presence or absence of failure to thrive. Consultations will be obtained from ENT, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Occupational Therapy, Pulmonary Medicine, Gastroenterology and Medical Genetics and include clinical and diagnostic evaluations.
