Ivermectin Biliary Excretion Study

Abstract

An open, industry funded study to investigate the biliary excretion of Ivermectin following administration of a single oral dose of 3H-Ivermectin to subjects with a T-tube implanted surgically. Ivermectin is used in the treatment of patients with parasitic infections, resulting in blindness. In this study bile will be collected and reinfused for 48 hr to stimulate an intact enterohepatic circulation, to measure the disappearance curve of the drug.
