This is a pilot study to investigate the efficacy of motivational interviewing as a technique to improve management of type 1 diabetes in adolescents. Investigators will examine the impact of motivational interviewing upon clinical outcomes, quality of life, and healthcare costs in adolescents with type 1 diabetes mellitus.
