Abstract

The exact biochemical defect in cystinosis is now known and this study seeks to subclassify these patients into different groups on a biochemical and molecular basis rather than on clinical findings alone. The biochemical and molecular studies require small blood samples and skin biopsies to start fibroblast cultures.
