Abstract

Investigate the effect on adsorptive qualities of using soda or juice as a mixer for reconstituted activated charcoal. It is hypothesized that there will be no effect on adsorption as demonstrated by the area under the curve, peak concentrations, time to peak concentration, elimination half-life, and elimination rate constant. This will be investigated in healthy volunteers with a subtoxic dose of acetaminophen.
