Strucural neuroimaging studies have shown patterns and rates of global and regional volumetric changes across the life-span. Additionally, diffusion tensor imaging studies (DTI) have reported changes in white matter structure and integrity across the life-span. More recent studies have combined these approaches from a neurodevelopmental perspective to investigate brain-behavior relationships as a function of brain maturation.
