Abstract

This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. This protocol was designed to assess immunogenicity of a vaccine comprised of twelve melanoma-associated peptides in adjuvant in patients with advanced melanoma. The objectives of this study are to estimate: (a) if GM-CSF given at the vaccination site changes the effectiveness of the vaccine, (b) if administration of the vaccine at two sites induces different immunogenicity than administration at one site, (c) if vaccination every three months maintains immune responses to the vaccine, and (d) if the immune responses to the peptide vaccine correlate with
