This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing theresources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject andinvestigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed isfor the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. The purpose of this study is to determine whether certain forms of blood protein (Apolipoprotein E) are associated with Alzheimer's disease. If the investigators are able to identify a group of patients with the specific Apolipoprotein E protein, they may be able to learn more about the cause of the disease, which could eventually lead to a cure. This is a one time blood draw on participating subjects to determine their Apolipoprotein E status.
