This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. Our long term goal is to apply functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), even-related potentials (ERPs), structured interviews and neuropsychological testing to the study of anti-social personality disorder (ASPD), chronic cocaine dependence and relapse. The objectives of this application are to (1) study the effects of cocaine dependence on brain activity and cognition, (2) determine the recovery of these effects during abstinence, and (3) test which measures, or combination of measures, best predicts relapse.
