The institution listed isfor the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator.The broad goal of this study is to perform a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial of r-metHuLeptin administration in women with hypothalamic amenorrhea (HA) to determine whether restoring physiologic leptin levels in women with HA will improve bone density, gonadal function, hormone levels, bone markers, overall sense of well-being, and immunologic parameters.
