Recent research has shown increasing evidence for the role of oxytocin in regulating and facilitating social behavior. No studies to date have examined oxytocin in individuals with social phobia, and this proposal presents a unique opportunity to do this in a setting where individuals are already being recruited and carefully diagnosed as part of an existing funded parent R01.
