Specific Aims /Objectives:This feasibility study will assess whether adolescent girls and their families and young women are willing to include acupuncture as an adjunct therapy for endometriosis-related pelvic pain, and will provide preliminary data evaluating the efficacy of Japanese-style acupuncture in treating pelvic pain. This information will be used to inform the design of a future large scale trial assessing the efficacy and possible underlying mechanisms of Japanese acupuncture as therapy for endometriosis-related pelvic pain in adolescents.
